If you live in the U.K. then you've probably seen those Whiskas adverts with the gorgeous cats and kittens with the loud purr , your heart has melted and you want one just like that. Those cats are Silver Tabbies - just like Sophie, the only difference is they have green eyes and Sophie has orange eyes, which makes her much prettier.
Sophie was born in July 1994 and her pedigree name is Adouzch Teatrump.
So now you're wondering what life is like with a Silver Tabby? Does a Silver Tabby need any special care? What makes a Silver Tabby so special? Where can I get my own Silver Tabby?
Life with a Silver Tabby is pretty much like life with any other cat, Sophie herself is oozing personality, she plays fetch with empty crisp packets and bits of moss, she rolls over on her back and literally hugs herself because she can't believe how beautiful she is , she doesn't go any further than the backyard though she could if she wanted and yes, her purr really is as loud as those ones on that ad! Whether or not you will end up with a Silver Tabby like this is pure pot luck - cats are individuals with distinct personalities and there's no guarantee that you wouldn't end up with a spitting, clawing, hissing monster from the depths of hell!
A Silver Tabby doesn't require anything different from your ordinary moggy (unless of course you get a long-haired Silver Tabby in which case you're going to need to groom him/her more often) - a comfy place to kip, good food, clean water and the attentions of a lovng owner.
